an opportunity to share the great curriculum work that you do.

The Curriculum Slam! is a fast-paced format based on pecha kucha presentations. We’ll use a 16 slide, 30 second per slide format.

The theme for 2016 is

Leading Contemporary Creative Research

through Art, Media, & Design Curriculum

It’s scheduled at a great time—Saturday 11 am to 12:50 pm.

The goal of the Slam! is to share K-12 art education that arises out of contemporary artmaking approaches.

The 2015 Slam! included presentations on performance art, visualizing big data, re-writing the “rules” of an art room,

humorous videos as cultural critique, designing 8-bit video games and design literacy.

The application process is simple—a couple of paragraphs and 3 slides.

The Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art Teachers Advisory Committee will select proposals in mid-January.
