  1. It is a well known fact that during trauma or anxiety, art and craft activities can open a link to the subconscious; even when it is difficult to do so on a conscious level by discussion. The important thing to remember is to not moralize or preach, but to investigate with the child what the cause of their trauma or anxiety might be. To do this impartially as being of importance has often been stressed by child psychiatrist Melanie Klein.
